So you have to have a boost controller AND a flashpro?
#124
flashpro = engine tuning software/harness (change timing/fuel/vtec eng)
boost controller = control unit and solenoid (regulate air pressure to the turbo's wategate to maintain a constant manifold pressure)
Maybe you are thinking of cars that come with turbo's factory, in which the ECU manages boost control (algorithm and a solenoid). Boost can then usually be changed when you tune/reporg the ECU.

Utah, did the candy man send you the same pics he sent me??
I am also thinking using the AEM gauge that does read out of boost, boost control and AFR on the same gauge. I think it looks pretty sweet....

I would like to get VTC actuator that advances to 45 degrees before I hit the dyno.
#130
Advanced
It costs double and must use adapter another 165.00 total cost about $700.00
I'm way over budget already trying to save a few bucks still have to buy
Injectors 450.00
fuel pump 175.00
AEM boost controller 320.00
Exhaust at least 100.00 (3in to stock mufflers)
Dyno tune 500.00

I thought they said the 09+ already has the 45+ VTC, so there was no need to swap it out.

Intake manifold
Well I'm going for the fake Skunk2 PRO Series, won the e bay auction $225.98 shipped (I was the only bidder)
#136
Im interested in a review of the fake skunk2 manifold. I wonder if it will be better than an RBC manifold which is about the same price as the one you won.
#137
Does any one know what aftermarket cams fit our cars? After reading the k20.org post I'm wondering if we can use any k20/k24(pre 09) parts.

EFR fits
Tired time to go home, I have been working all day on the EFR install,
It fits with the intake facing the driver side (the precision turbo I had to install inlet facing the passenger side) turned out really nice the only down side is the oil return will have to go into the oil pan the turbo sits to low to go into the timing chain cover like I did with the
other turbo, need to check into using a drain plug return like full race does on there 2012 Civic SI kit they sell. I don't want people to have to take there oil pan off and have a fitting welded on , it's really hard to get the pan off of these jack the motor up drop the sub frame down no fun. Still waiting for the stainless down pipe bends to get here, will work on that next week. no pics yet it's top secret, no I just forgot my camera.

As long as the drain plug return doesn't cause any issues at all with smooth drain back into pan I don't mind. I just don't want to have any compromises that could cause major problems. The drain plug return so long as it's all good, seems fine to me.

Oil drain resevior
Here are my thoughts on the oil drain, putting this in the drain line above the oil level in the pan, it is 5 inches long 1 3/4 round, I think this will ensure that no oil backs up into turbo drain line, what do you guys think ?????????
And find a fitting that goes into oil pan that is a tee with plug on one end to remove for oil change drain

I would defer to the professionals who do this for a living. Maybe ask full race if they have any issues???

This is too cool! Great progress, I was just wondering how you get the time to work on this all day? Do you have to service other cars too? Then just work on the turbo on your down time?

Relax
Relax breathe into paper bag, hey Optimus it is going really good you're manifold and down pipe are getting tig welded, when I get them back I need to make a jig and then I will ship it to you. I think it will be best for me to have the manifold and turbo to make the hot, cold and intake pipes, I will email you, I found the intercooler that will fit better than mine and is still really big (that is what we want) talked to Cortney about oil drain into the drain plug that it will work fine without reservoir because the turbo sits high enough and the drain is almost straight down.
#156
Burning Brakes
Yeah, I was thinking about that while driving today... you will need everything all together at once to make sure nothing rubs or anything like that...
Also, you'll have all the pipes together in one time, and that way others that weren't ready can have a kit to go with.
I have been considering getting the rbc, will that match up with the manifold you are getting, or should I look for the skunk 2 manifold??

Looks like the RBC RRC and Skunk all have the same throttle body position, I need to research a little bit. waiting for car to come into shop with rbc.
