DRL - - - for those who like pure white

Stock halogens were too yellow for me so I upgraded. I've tried using 6k halogen bulbs but the DRL still emitted too yellow for me.
I needed something white so I decided to try led 9005 bulbs. I don't use my high beams so i thought led would be worth using

Daytime shots

The only problem I am having is this :

I believe this is because the led bulbs run on lower power than the halogens which shows this error
Anyway to get rid of it?

(i'll post night time shots later)

Maybe a resistor to increase the load .. i am not sure how much or how to do it.

Edit: There was once this inline (load resistor) rheostat thing that could be installed to compensate for the lack of power drain. I dont remember what it was called.

I'd probably try measuring the resistance of the stock bulb, the resistance of the led array, and then adding the difference inline to compensate.

What brand/seller/etc on those LED bulbs btw? Those look nice.

I was going to go that route to but didnt like the thought of installing load resistors especially when voltage to drls is much less. leds should be ran at full power to get the best results out of them.
Let me know if you figure it out.

That looks pretty clean, you really can't tell it's on unless you do a double-take... can't wait to see those night shots.

On a sidenote: I will say that the 2nd gen grill actually looks great on white. Unlike other colors, it flows very nice with the car.

(I was debating on white or black when I bought mine. Went with CBP, now I'm waiting on tax money to color match my grill. LOL)

Thanks for the comments.

Here are night shots (not the best)

You can really see the white emit. You still gotta be using HID during night time though

I like that. That looks good, you can really see the white with the regular HID lights.

Supreme, what part of the Zay you from? That looks like the Silver Creek/Yerba Buena area? I'm in the southside like 15 minutes from there. Not too too many 2G's in the area, mainly 1G's, maybe I see your car around sometimes.

I'm close to the Silver Creek area but I'm in east side SJ. I cruise around north and west SJ all the time though

What are the long-term effects of using these led bulbs but not using a load resistor? I don't ever use my high-beams and these look great.

The LEDs do not emit enough light if you ever need to use your highbeams while driving. So no, don't get LEDs
