just bought LS460 exhaust tips

Just bought LS 460 exhaust tips. Still waiting for shipment.

I went to a muffler shop over the weekend and they quoted me $60 - $120 to do the installation. They will cut the OEM bumper to fit the tips, create brackets for the tips, and modify the OEM exhaust

I plan to paint the bottom part of the OEM bumper with flat black paint and probably either remove the OEM reflectors or just tint them black. I have to see how it looks first though.

Looking to make the rear end flush

Hopefully to get these installed in 1-2 weeks.

Here's what the SQUARE exhaust tips will look like.

Disregard the two exhausts tips since that's not part of what I've purchase.

Muffler shop to cut the bumper? A guy with a 3g TL had these put on by a body shop and one side's fitment wasn't that great... I could only imagine what a muffler shop would do.. Would look great if done right though.

Would look good if the inner tips didn't extend so far out.

my goal is to make it flush to the OEM bumper. the muffler guy said he can just cut the back side of the tips so it doesnt stick out

I hope it doesn't, because it is a hot concept, but it's probably going to come out looking like shit. No offense.. just my opinion...

I saw a brand new 4 cylinder Camry yesterday, the owner (or the dealer) had cut a HUGE half-circle in the bumper around the exhaust, then split a piece of rubber hose to trim it off in order to put a GINORMOUS Pep Boys round tip through the bumper.

A very good argument for banning the use of forceps in the delivery room.

Here's to hoping yours turns out better, Defcon.

Your fog lights remind of 97-01 JDM prelude. I miss my 01 prelude sometimes. Nice exhaust tips btw.

Alright, dude. Looks like I'm gonna follow suit an do this also because I've never liked the TSX tips and yours looks SICK! I know where to buy the tips and how much they are thanks to you. I just need more guidance in what comes afterwards. How much of the bumper had to be cut cause I don't have the luxury of painting it back myself. And what would you say the overall $$$ damage was?? Thanks!

^ Just REMEMBER that this is purely ASTHETIC and that the exhaust will NOT be coming out of the actual tips. The exhaust will come out under the car before it reaches the tips.

Quick Reply: just bought LS460 exhaust tips
