Cool Wireless Bluetooth Audio

Wassup Acurazine,

I haven't seen any threads on this so far but if there is then, my bad.

I own an 09' TSX non-tech and I have an iPhone 3G just like the most of us. So I was just messing around with some settings and decided to see if I can stream music wirelessly from my iPhone.

IT WORKED!!!!

** I've installed the new iPhone 3.0 OS onto my phone, so I'm not sure if its a 3.0 feature or just a regular feature in general.

The 3.0 OS will be released in June 09'.

Steps:
1) Obviously pair your phone with your car.

2) Press on the "AUX" button located in your car until you're in "Bluetooth Audio Mode".

3) Go to your iPod app on your iPhone and play a song. (Make sure your Bluetooth symbol on top is lit blue and also make sure that on the navigational screen of your car shows the bluetooth symbol as well. These clues will indicate that your phone is paired with your car correctly.)

4) While being on the screen of the song being played, you should see a bluetooth symbol located next to the volume bar on the bottom right of the screen.

5) Tap on the bluetooth symbol and you will see a popup asking you to select the bluetooth device you will like to stream your music through.

6) Select "HandsFree Link" on the popup window and enjoy the music flow coming out of your car system!!!!

** I'm not going to lie, the quality isn't as good as having your iPhone connected using the USB cable and also, the USB cable will charge your iPhone as oppose to draining your battery life using Bluetooth.

I have a 2G iPhone with the 2.2.1 software installed. How did you get 3.0?

iPhone 3.0 OS

It's a bit off topic but might be relevant.

You have to become an Apple Developer. Its $99.

** OS (Operating System) - There is no way Apple can place an OS that is 229MB on the App Store and somehow allow millions of users to download it off the AT&T lines and somehow install itself on top of the current OS. The technology is not that advance for this to be done.

If you meant the iTunes Store than that's a different story.

Please reply on your experiences with your mobile devices being used as a music device to stream media using your car stereo system.

Do you think they'll eventually release it to the public? I'm not a developer.

I tried this with my Samsung Bluetooth phone and it "worked". By "worked" I mean it played the music I had stored on my phone, but the quality like you mentioned was not great. Sounds much better when using a hard wired connection to my iPod.
