Talking AAC's Oracle Halo Kit (Demon Eyes) Installed

Hello all.

Well, many folks have been wanting to see how this all turned out...
First the story:

I like the 06-08 JDM lights better than our OEM's.
So I bought a pair.
I really like the look of angle eyes, but not so much the 6000k color.
So I put them off for a while.

Somebody brought it up that there's another company, not Umnitza that
makes angle eyes, but they make them with a 3 ring kit per light, not just 2.
They are also rumored to be of a higher quality overall.

So I looked into it.

Here is the site of the makers of this Oracle Halo Kit:
http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...on=Custom&ID=1
Here is their picture gallery:
http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...n=Custom&ID=13

You can find these kits for purchase on ebaY for $199 plus shipping I think.
If you want your lights to look like mine, do NOT buy from Umnitza.
Buy your kit from Advanced Automotive Concepts (AAC) you can tell them I sent ya.

So you can install these yourself if you wish.
I didn't wish.
I wanted them installed professionally, so I sent them to AAC for a professional
install.
Let me tell ya, I'm a hard person to please, I'm anal and such.
But this company pleased me no doubt, in every way, I'm very happy.

I mailed them my new JDM lights, still in their Honda of Japan boxes.
I was nervous.
They got the lights and installed the Oracle Halo Kit in one day.
They shipped them back to me the next day. I paid for shipping both ways.
They charged me $175 for the install, which includes a lifetime guarantee
on both parts and labor! Mmmmm.... peace of mind.

So here's how they looked before they were put on my car:

I gotta give credit to Justin and AAC. They did a super professional job.
Nicely done guys!
I turn everyone's head, everywhere I go with these.

Highly recommended mod!

Id bet, they look great in picture, probably 10 times better in person! I also wanted to undergo this mod, lack of shops around here to do the install properly, I don’t want to run into condensation issues especially with the HID’s and igniters burning out due to condensation...

...but they honestly due look speechless who said "angel eyes" were only for the BMW's

These lights are as JDM as JDM gets. These are the 06-08 JDM lights.
When you buy JDM lights (or when I did) no bulbs are included.
What you see are the stock parking bulbs from the OEM lights.

They're being changed soon to PIAA 8000k ones...
Just didn't think of it before.

The turn signal lights are being changed soon too.
The high beam ones are being changed too.

And also I'm going to get another new set of fog bulbs.
This time I'll get the 8000k instead of the 4300k, I don't like 4300k.

Some you saw before just have different bulbs, same housings and such.
Easy swap, just haven't done it yet. The bulbs are in the mail right now.

the jdm headlights have clear sidemarkers for the turn signal instead of the stock amber. they kind of look blue.

while they look really nice and cool mod, i also feel this screams 'bmw wannabe.' that, and the fact that you can visibly see the whiteish rings in the housings during daylight are the only things that kind of bother me imo.

otherwise, your ride is looking pretty nice. you move fast.

Those are just fantastic man. I like the fact you had them 'professionally' done. A really nice clean, factory look install job is priceless.

Sure makes me think about trying to replace the DRL's with them.

That looks freakin' awesome. I'm gonna have to put it on my wishlist.

What color temp for the halo is that? It's very blue but not yet purple.

I remembered in another thread about something like you can turn these on independently from your other lights so... when you're installing it, is it more than just simply installing your headlights? Like you also have to go through the inside of your car to install the switch for it? How hard is that?

I wonder if that company would also be able to swap in USDM projectors at the same time to correct the beam pattern.

It looks good, but I'm not willing to blind people for it

Color temp - 8000k

The install is just like wiring fog lights the way I have it.
I used a fog light harness from ebaY and just connected it to the angle eyes
instead of fog lights.
Install was just like the fog light install, installing a dash button and a harness
that runs to the lights and whatnot.
It's a fairly hard project, but certainly doable, no question.

Yes, yes AAC will absolutely swap out projectors for you.
If you don't have USDM projectors, they'll get them for you even.
They do lots of work with projectors and are very familiar with the TSX's light.

These fogs actually aren't stock.
I replaced the bulbs with 4300k H11's.

But I don't like them.
I'm going to replace them again with 8000k H11's.

And also the fogs are independently wired, which is certainly not stock.

Do I plan on putting HIDs in the fogs?
No, no way.
I don't need two sets of HIDs, no reason at all in my opinion to do that.

Soon the fogs, sides, and high beams will all be 8000k to match the 8000k
demon eyes and my new 8500k HIDs, which are very nice by the way.

In that case, just buy the Umnitza Thinline Angel Eyes.
They only have two rings per set.

They work at 6000k though...

OK, I understand that you order the Angel Eyes online and that you mailed your JDMs to have the AEs put on. Now, let's say you don't have another set of lights to mail away, can it be done by a shop locally or at a dealer, though I don't know if I'd want to go that route but at the same time I'm a lil concerned about letting any shop open up my lights.

Anyone know of a place in S Florida that does this?

I HIGHLY recommend against getting it done locally.

Can you wait a few days?

I sent on Monday, they arrived Wednesday.
They sent Thursday, they arrived Friday.

So that's four days all together.
You could do express and have them in 3 days.

This in no way, shape, or form is something that any shop will be used to
doing probably. Opening up headlights can be real dangerous.
AAC gives a lifetime guarantee on parts and labor if anything goes wrong.

But who knows? Call around, see if you can find a confident shop.

Well, I def trust your opinion so I won't get it done by a shop. I guess I could always do it during a long weekend trip or a vacation without the car. I've got 2 opportunities in June to be away without the TSX so maybe I can send the lights away then. Now this is also assuming that it will be easy for me to get the lights off and then put them back on. I think I can handle the shipping part...

Familiar and comfortable w/ modding my TSX, but never did anything w/ the headlights (only the foggies)... so please excuse my ignorance...

How easy is it to put in the headlights? Is it as simple as bolt and unbolt, or do you have to go through some other procedures? Also, I know I'm in the huge minority, but I actually prefer the USDM housings (w/ the amber side markers). If I purchased an extra set of housings, could I simply send those in to have the AEs installed? I figure, that way, I can still drive around at night, lol

Btw... looks absolutely stunning. I had never really had the itch to do this mod (as I also believed it was a "BMW" thing, but your finished product looks exceptionally clean.

Well, no.
Installing the Oracle Halo Kit, or Angel Eyes, requires some work.

First the light must be baked in an oven to soften the sealant.
Then the housing needs to be separated comepletely.
Holes need to be drilled in the housing for the wires to run through.
2 holes go below each ring. Also maybe a hole or two on the back
part of the housing for the wires to come out of.
The cold cathode circles need to be glued in place in a couple different
spots to hold them secure.
The ballasts need to be mounted and the wires need to be run.
The lights need to be baked again, then clamped back together.
Then they need to be mounted to the car and wired however you want them.

They'll do any lights you send to them. So yes, send them extra USDM ones.
They'll do projector swaps for you too.
They'll professionally paint your housings too if you want.

Heh... sorry... I should've clarified. My bad If I send them the headlights to do (as you did), is it as simple as just bolting the finished products back in? As much enjoyment as I've gotten from working on the car myself, sometimes you just want to enjoy it w/o the sweat!

When they reseal the lights, they say they do so better than factory.
So you get them back better than how you sent them out.

And no, after you get them back it takes a touch of work to get them going.
You have to wire them up.

But they give you everything you need to do it.
Shouldn't be too hard.

I went a custom route and made in independent on/off switch, that took
a fair amount of work. Most folks will just wire them to the parking lights.
That's pretty easy.
