Distance Activation of FOB

With my 2005 RL, I can reach in my pocket from the back of the house and lock everything. With the 2011 TSX, I have to be within 75 feet to lock or unlock.

Does the RL have a more powerful transmission signal? Anyway to increase the pick-up?

yea i find my tsx to be fairly weak on the pickup as well.

a cool trick, if you put the keyfob to your head(aim at your temple with the key extended), it will reach further. i don't know why, it just works lmfao

on the tsx, you need to shove it up your ass while you are walking, then press the key fob

That used to work with older alarms. I used to use it all of the time on my old car. Without the chin method, I would need to be 4 or 5 cars away. With the chin method, the range increased to a block and a half.

The funny thing is that once I was at home depot, I disarmed my car's alarm and the car right next to mine disarmed too. I tried arming and disarming the alarm a few times, and the other car would do the same thing at the same time. Apparently we had both gotten the same alarm with the same code being used. I guess alarm systems were simpler back then, which allowed the use of the chin method.

just do it in the dark when you are walking to your car in a parking lot. hold the key to your temple and keep clicking unlock. you'll see your turn signals flash. once you get to that point. stop walking. try locking/unlocking the car now with your hand outstretched to the car, or at your side. it prob wont work. put it back to your head and do it. it should work again. if it works at your side, take a few steps back. its not a huge range increase, but a little bit

I've tried this on my switchblade and it doesn't work as well as it did on my old Clifford alarm. This method usually works every time though.
