Acura Tsx 2009 Battery Down

Hey guys!

title says it all!. Left all my accessories and lights on and + i left the key in the ignition and i went away for 1hours30mins. Then i remembered that i had left everything on for no freakin reason. Went back to the car, battery was dead, no doubt about that. I immediately boosted it, then went for a 30mins drive on the highway to charge it up a little. My question is : the battery is 4 months old and it is a normal battery (lead acid battery i think they call it), did i just hurt my battery to a point where it has sulfated and won't charge to 100% anymore ? or since i boosted it up right away there's no harm done ? what's your opinion ?

thanks

You should charge the battery with a proper battery charger. The alternator was not designed the charge a battery.

okay i'll check this out. but it's been well over one week and i,ve been doing over 400-500miles of highway. i guess the battery recharged... even though the alternator isn't "made" to recharge but to keep battery at good levels.

A long (an hour or so) road trip will recharge your battery IF your battery is in good condition. A deep discharge is bad for a battery but a one-time discharge won't significantly affect battery life.
