Got my replacement bulb Saturday and of course when I got them I ran out to install them quickly! I love them! The only thing that's disappointing is that when looking at them from straight on, they're not that yellow even though I have the lamin-x vinyl on but on the road.....SEXY!!!! I bought some new vinyl that were recommended over lamin-x in other forums so hopefully those will make a difference. I'm pretty much out $20 but why set with something that's not entirely what you want? So hopefully I'll get the new stuff in this week. Whenever I get my hands on my girlfriends camera, I'll try to take some pics.

how much do you think the whole project cost you saucy? lenses and housing?
#175
thats pretty cheap, even cheaper if you subtract the bulbs/ballast alotta people have im sure. i wonder if its possible to make it into an easy DIY job, but i have no idea how much labor went in an how easy it would be to reproduce

Well cutting is a little tricky, alignment can be difficult. Depending on type of projectors you might have to perform some modifications to them to make them adjustable. Also to give it a clean look you will also need a resin or really small shroud to hide guts. Things like that. Better to pay someone that knows what they are doing but always fun to try.

Finally was able to take some pics of my new HID fogs. Like I mentioned before I wanted a more golden yellow color so I scrapped the Lamin-x and went with some other vinyls, Grafixpression. So hopefully the new stuff will last for awhile because, at night, they look awesome. The only thing I liked about the Lamin-x is that they looked much better in the day time where as the new stuff is a more of a darker yellow, border line amber color. It's going to take some time to get used to that color but it's already growing on me. Also, I believe the Lamin-x will provide more protection to the fogs since the ones from Grafixpression were a lot thinner than Lamin-x. Anyways, I got the look that I wanted and that's all that matters. Here are a few pics. Not the best quality but whatev.
With Lamin-x, sorry it was raining and plus my girlfriends camera sux. Well I guess I can't complain since I don't have/need a digital camera .
With Grafixpression, with the same camera and settings .
With Grafixpression with the Iphone 4 camera. Shows more of the real life color than the digital camera . Hence why I wanted to take a pic with my phone .
I know there are haters for having yellow fogs, but I guess it's personal preference. I loved them on the older IS 300s and wanted to have lights like those. Hence why I dished out another $20 for the other vinyls .

Yeah, I think with the ISO adjustment on the camera, it shows them as a little green but as you can tell from the IPhone pic there's really no green. I knew people would find the digi cam pics to be a little green, so I wanted to show the true color of it. Yea I'm loving them, just hoping the film lasts for awhile.

Great fogs bro... Doing the same set-up but not HID's. Doing Nokya 2800k halogen 55watt bulbs which are brighter than the stock 35watt watt halogen H8 bulbs in there stock.

Those fogs look awesome! I got the greenish issue with my HIDExtra fogs but I dont have tint on the foglights atm....is that Grafixexpression precut for our TSX's?
I'll assume you had 3000k or Nokya's installed before hand Aznwarrior?

Thanks I love this combo too! I was thinking of upgrading the low-beam HID but I'm fine with what they look like now....plus I'd probably wait till the stocks blow out first....which I hope they never do!
Thanks man! I honestly went with this set up just for looks, but I noticed a HUGE difference when driving in the rain the other night. Making my decision of going yellow the best decision!
Thanks. Yeah I'm running some 3000k DDM's with Grafixpression film. Unfortunately they don't have them pre-cut for the TSX, so I just bought a sheet of it (which was plenty enough) I would suggest taking out the fog assembly though when trying to install the film because I didn't and did a crappy job on the cutting. It looks great....just as long as you don't look at them up close in the day time .
Why hate what color fogs were supposed to be. If these people putting 6-8k bulbs in their fogs actually lived where heavy fog roams they'd know that kind of light doesnt cut through the fog. Yellow light does. Hence why real JDM cars have them this color for the heavy fog they get in Japan off the Pacific Ocean just like it does during "June gloom" in Southern California.

Here's what the Grafix film looks like in the daytime. It's a darker yellow than the Lamin-x. I wish I had a photo of the Lamin-x film to compare the difference in color. All I can say is that that Lamin-x is a lot lighter in color than the Grafix, which I really liked but you get use to the Grafix film .

Just as an FYI to anyone that is looking for a Lamin-x alternative, here's what I got:
http://www.grfxpstore.com/store/product/885036647
One sheet is plenty enough. I had to re-do my passenger side since I fudged it up and it seems like I have enough for another set of fogs, which is great to have as a back-up. As a warning though, like I mentioned before, these are more of like a tint film than a protective film like the Lamin-x.

Thanks! Who says you have to have a lot of fog to have yellow fogs? We rarely ever get fog and I'm primarily doing it just for looks, but the benefits of better visibility is just a plus! If you like it and want to do it, you should because it's definitely easy to do, hence why I did it!

I plan to get Lamin-X front and rear the bonus is that fogs cutouts are included...my idea is just to copy the shape onto your type of overlays...voila...art class all over again LOL I'm so genius

Yeah I wanted to do that with the piece of paper that you peel off to expose the adhesive side. Somehow it was torn into two pieces because I only had half of the shape. I guess I got too excited when I got them that I went all beastified on it. Let us know how it goes!

I like my set and forget light function so it bothers me that I have to turn them on and off manually. I am therefore considering getting a Philips or Denso set instead although it is $250 instead of $50. Although it is 5 times the money it still doesn't seem that expensive for OEM quality. Anyone have experience with these units?
Additionally I went 6000K fogs and changed my low beam to 6000K also. Lighting performance is adequate and they look good however the loss of light is a bit more noticeable than I had hoped. If I go for a new set I will probably go to a 4300K kit and put my factory low beam bulbs back in (fun job that is!). Still I have answered my 4300K vs 6000K question without spending a lot of money.
