Hey 240sxer, the rattling sounds like its exactly inside the cabin, directly under the passenger front seat... i want to say its gotta be of those plastic pieces knocking against a metal part under the seat... the sound is RIGHT there... but its very difficult to pinpoint where exactly it is...

I am fairly sure that it is the same sound that has been annoying me. To me it sounds more that it is coming from the passenger door around the speaker.

Thank goodness i'm not the only one. I am in the same boat as tcmengineer. It sounds like the noise is coming from the passenger door area. I can't pinpoint it exactly, but it's getting on my nerves. If anyone figures out what it is, please let me know.

I'm hearing a creaking noise coming from either the brakes or somewhere in the front underbody of the car when I first accelerate or come to a stop or even drive up a slightly inclined road.

I'm also experiencing the exact same problem, but it doesn't happen all the time. Does anybody know the cause?

looks like some noob questions here but they are definitely right in their questioning. The sound is a slight "cracking" sound, particularly when hitting bumps in the road at low speeds and when stopping and starting. The sound is most audible from the driver's point of view. I think it has to do with the car's body sway and/or shocks, but it truly is annoying! my .02 cents... |

soooo annoying.... i think i almost leaped outta my car for a tuck and roll, while the car was driving, this morning....
I think I've pin pointed the vicinity of the sound... its by the seat belt clicker / metal frame holding it up... its below that, like inside the seat... when placing my hand and fingers in one of those metal pieces, you feel something hitting it, and it can't be reached. awful... completely awful. |

thanks ressling, i have printed it up, and will bring it to my dealership this saturday for my appointment ( for my windshield side molding coming off!!!)
but i am thinking that it is not this issue of TSB 09-019.. you know how i know? because when i punch the passenger side seat from the driverside seat, i hear my infamous rattle.. its clearly coming from beneath / inside the passenger seat / mechanism. i have a slight case of OCD with my car, and this is literally making me go crazy. i dont want to tell myself that i overpaid for this car, but sometimes i think i did. |

My '09 Accord Euro was making a weird noise from the back each time I moved off for just a few feet at really slow speeds, like in traffic ... turned out to be the inertia moving fuel around the tank!
The little silver handle thing on the cup-holder cover buzzes like crazy on rough surfaces. It's very slightly loose but I can't work out how to get the lid off to tighten it. At the moment it's got tape stuck over it ![]() |

Rattling under front seat
Have you tried having someone else drive your car with the radio off while you sit in the back seat and listen?

I'm totally with you on that one. One of the reasons I'm glad I leased. However, I do love the car and want to fix some of the problems!

I love the car, but so far its just a few small things here and there.. Just annoyíng though. I dropped my car off today at the dealership for the windshield side molding problem, also addressed this stupid rattling..

found the rattle.... it is coming from the passenger plastic seat belt console that is attached to the seat... coming from beneath the seat. when the plastic console is pulled towards myself, towards the driver seat, it doesn't rattle. so i had to put a rolled up sock, wedged in between the seat and the seat belt thing to prevent the rattle.
the dealership said everything seemed fine and that nothing was broken. sucks.... i guess now ill have to have that stupid rolled up sock there... |
